Leadership Development

In all ministries, leadership development is vital. It is no less so here at CMIA. Partnering with the international ministry, Global Advance, pastors, teachers and ministry leaders are given important training for present and future leadership in the church and in the ministry.

In 2007, the first graduating class of the Ministry School celebrated their certificates of graduation and were sent out to their churches better equipped to preach the Word of God.  We are excited what God is doing in the lives of these men and women who are passionate about sharing the Good News!

internship

God is calling young men and women into the world to minister, shepherd and make disciples. CMIA is committed to help equip and train those called to that service.

An internship ministry is currently in the building block phase. Once established, this ministry will work with Christian Colleges and Universities to provide an arena for training and service in the CMIA ministry.

This training might include, but not be limited to: various classes on missions, being a missionary, Bible, leadership, culture, country and church history, service, practicums, being a prayer warrior, etc.

Be watching for the continuing development of this ministry. Applications and interviews for openings will be conducted through the U.S. Office in coordination with the field missionaries and colleges.

youth conference

With the majority of the Kenyan population being under 16, the ministry to youth is vital. Each year several events are planned to equip youth to be strong Christian models; salt and light into their homes, communities, villages, schools and churches. Besides the big equipping and training youth conferences, each Church on the Rock leads youth into leadership and overall outreach ministry.

teacher training

Education is extremely valuable in the Kenyan culture. Without it there seems to be no future. So CMIA has developed pre-primary schools and a primary academy to give this valuable commodity to as many Kenyan orphans and poor families as possible. The ministry is committed to excellence, and so teacher training is held often. Thanks to many supporters, and short-term training mission trips, the teachers are well trained and their classrooms well equipped, thus ranking them in the top percentage of Kenyan schools. There are always great needs for school supplies and teacher training materials, so please contact our U.S. Coordinators if you would like to donate funds, materials for the schools and teachers.

pastor training

All Church On The Rock churches in Africa are lead by strong, national pastors who are growing daily in God's Word and God's grace. With the leadership of David Hatley and his work with Global Advance Training Ministries, based in Texas, COTR pastors are equipped with the best training possible for Biblical preaching, teaching and leadership.

These faithful pastors receive their pay from the congregations they lead, often times having to work on the side to support their families. They are committed to growing their congregations deeper in their relationship with God.

We praise God for each of them. Join us in supporting these faithful pastors with your prayers, your finances for training materials and transportation to training conferences. Contact the U.S. Coordinators if you are interested in being part of planned short-term trips for conducting training & equipping seminars for these faithful servants of God.
