GCC HIV Extension

GCC Extension Child

On the five acre, Langata ministry compound that houses the main home of Grace Children's Centres, is a little dwelling that houses nineteen of the most precious children you would ever want to meet. All of them, through circumstances beyond their control have contracted the HIV virus. In the HIV Extension Home these beautiful orphaned children receive special care, diets and anti-retroviral drug treatments. They know they are loved each day they are with us!

On March 21st, we were proud to break ground on a new set of buildings, of which one wing will be exclusively for these HIV/AIDS children with special needs.  Soon they will have a larger and better area in which to live and be loved by caring "mums."

GCC-Makindu Girls' Home

girls home

This home for older orphaned girls is located approximately 2 hours southeast of Nairobi. The Makindu girls home currently houses around 25 girls who have lost their parents and/or families in a variety of ways. All the girls go to school and love to sing and dance and play.

GCC Nakuru Boys' Home

The Nakuru Street Boys Home is located approximately two hours northwest of Nairobi in the town of Nakuru; the fourth largest city of Kenya and the second largest gathering point - after Nairobi - for homeless children.

Most of the boys have been taken from the dangerous environment of the streets where they learn to steal, con, and basically survive. Many of the boys are rescued from that environment before they become addicted to glue.

As one observer in the town has said, CMIA Boy's Home is the place that turns "demons into boys." Pastor David and Pastor Anthony are the faithful servants who care for, train and love these boys with the love of Christ.

There are approximately 50 young men and young boys in this facility.

GCC Langata

The first Kenyan home established by the Hatleys, and the cornerstone for the CMIA Children's Centres, GCC-Langata is located in a beautiful suburb of Nairobi. This facility houses about 50 children, boys and girls, ranging in age from newborn to teenage.

All the children are cared for by house mums that love them as their own. In spite of the background of these children, joy fills this centre, and all of the Children's homes.
