Church on the Rock

248 churches have been planted, in Africa to date, by the ministry of CMIA:

These number change weekly as God continues to raise up leaders desiring to see God's love spread throughout
Sub-Saharan Africa.

These churches, named Church on the Rock, are shepherded and led by African national leadership who love the Lord and serve Him with great passion. With each passing year, more Churches on the Rock fellowships are birthed, reaching further with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Church on the Rock Langata

COTR Langata

The largest of the Church on the Rock churches in Africa, COTR Langata, serves as the headquarters/model church for CMIA. This model has spawned  more than 243 Churches on the Rock that, since 1985, have been birthed in the city of Nairobi, the large slums that ring the city and across the country.

With a growing membership of 400+, the church serves the community with worship, care and godly example. Pastor Hassan Khalibwa is the faithful shepherd in addition to serving as general overseer of the Kenya Churches on the Rock.
