About Us
Since 1985,when David and Jennifer Hatley began their service in Africa with one church in Kenya, they have been faithful with little; now God is giving them much. God has increased their territory of ministry over the last 22 years. Today CMIA operates:
- 248 (and growing), Kenyan-lead Church on the Rock congregations; This church planting ministry has spread into the African nations of Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda , Rwanda and Tanzania as well.
- Four Grace Children's Centre Orphanage Homes, which include locations for healthy orphaned children; children infected with HIV/AIDS; and former street boys.
- Seven Church on the Rock Pre-Primary Schools, where children from poverty areas are prepared for primary education entrance assessment in a three year, free-of-charge program.
- Church On The Rock Academy Primary School which currently offers Standards 1 through 5 classes, and for the 2006 school year has a student body of 78. COTRA will add a standard (i.e. grade) each school year until, in 2009, it will offer Standards 1–8, which is the complete Kenya education system primary syllabus. The Standard 8 year for Kenya primary students culminates with the November sitting of terminal exams that earn a child a Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and determine his/her eligibility for various nationwide secondary schools.
Overseeing a ministry that is exploding in growth and outreach, the Hatleys, as prompted by the Holy Spirit, are diligently working to impact their part of the world for Jesus Christ. Faithfully committed in their relationship with God, they seek His guidance and trust in His provision daily. Faith is not a word, but a lifestyle, at CMIA where both the Hatleys and their national associates are tireless in their efforts for the Kingdom.
